'Neda for a Free Iran' (NFAFI) is a non-partisan, non-governmental organization (NGO), which is a volunteer-based Human Rights advocacy group. NFAFI has no affiliation with any political group or party, nor serves to promote any political group, party or ideology.

Mission

The operation of NFAFI is solely funded by donations and contributions of its members. NFAFI does not receive funding from any political group or government. The aims and objectives of NFAFI are to promote a democratic society with liberty justice, and above all - the protection and promotion of human rights for all people in Iran.

The network is comprised of individuals who are committed to highlighting the human rights situation in Iran and encouraging the development of a greater awareness amongst Iranians in contributing towards the effective enforcement mechanisms of international human rights instruments, such as, but not limited to, the Convention Against Torture, which Iran has yet to ratify; the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights; and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

NFAFI seeks to explore and provide Iranian victims of human rights abuses access to an effective system of justice. In doing so, NFAFI is committed to raising public awareness, exposing human rights violations, and promoting the understanding of human rights issues.

NFAFI believes that it is possible for the people of Iran to organize their minds and hearts to improve the condition of human rights by organizing themselves peacefully to achieve meaningful social change. NFAFI will cooperate with such organizations and is committed to the promotion of social engagement and peaceful organization with democratic principles and non-violent strategies.

Goals
  • Providing a better understanding of the universality and application of human rights;
  • Promoting the implementation of the Universal declaration of Human Rights and all international human rights instruments;
  • Bringing the human rights violation in Iran to the attention of world community;
  • Seeking justice for victims of human rights abuses perpetrated by the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran through international mechanisms.
  • Promoting awareness of the Iranian diaspora in campaigning for the abolishment of capital punishment.
  • To address and oppose the steady and systematic violations of Human Rights that takes place in Iran.
  • To create, manage and provide facilities to human rights organizations in assisting the disseminations of information as fast as possible to the relevant authorities, and to the general public.
