NFAFI does not receive funding from any political group or government.
The aims and objectives of NFAFI are to promote a democratic society with liberty justice, and above
all - the protection and promotion of human rights for all people in Iran.
The network is comprised of individuals who are committed to highlighting the human rights situation in
Iran and encouraging the development of a greater awareness amongst Iranians in contributing towards the
effective enforcement mechanisms of international human rights instruments, such as, but not limited to, the
Convention Against Torture, which Iran has yet to ratify; the International Covenant on Civil and
Political Rights; and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
NFAFI seeks to explore and provide Iranian victims of human rights abuses access to an effective system
of justice.
In doing so, NFAFI is committed to raising public awareness, exposing human rights violations, and promoting
the understanding of human rights issues.
NFAFI believes that it is possible for the people of Iran to organize their minds and hearts to improve
the condition of human rights by organizing themselves peacefully to achieve meaningful social change.
NFAFI will cooperate with such organizations and is committed to the promotion of social engagement and
peaceful organization with democratic principles and non-violent strategies.
